The testing of autonomous transport to explore the application possibilities for the provinces Groningen, Drenthe, and Friesland. The goal is the permanent implementation of autonomous transport to improve the liveability of villages in the northern provinces.
Another target is the support of the development of test protocols and certification for self-driving cars by using simulations. Green Dino has experience with drivers' behaviour on roads and can apply this to the development of autonomous cars. To reach this goal we are cooperating with robotTuner and RDW.
The simulation shows what an autonomous vehicle "sees" and explains how this information is used. For example, intelligence can be added to the vehicle, so it not only detects an object, but also classifies it into a road user.
